Green Team Info. for Week of Sept. 12

Dear Volleyball Families,

Having the green team take part in the Indian Rocks Junior High Tourney on Friday and Saturday reminded me of how much I enjoy the volleyball tournaments. The girls have so much fun taking part and facing other teams they don’t normally play during the regular season.

This early season tournament really helps me as their coach to spot areas they need to work on and skills we can focus on in practices. The girls did just what I asked of them in this tournament, and that was to play better with every new opponent they faced. It was really nice to see them go out on Saturday as winners after defeating Academy of Holy Names (almost in two games) and Bayshore Christian to be the Bronze Division Champions of the tournament.

Green Team Season Opener / Info. for Week of Sept 5

Chargers Defeat Mustangs on Friday September 2

The season got off to a great start on Friday afternoon with the Green Team's come from behind victory over Northside Christian. In the first game, the girls found themselves down 7-17, but soon after they narrowed the gap and only lost 23-25. The late success in the first game carried over to to the second, where the girls won 25-21 forcing a third game where the girls won 15-10.

Practice

Practice is scheduled for Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday this week from 3:15 - 4:30.

Indian Rocks Christian Junior High Invitational

The Green Team has a 1:00 dismissal this Friday for a 1:15 departure from Shorecrest.

Invitational General Info:
-ADDMISSION will be $5.00 per day or $9.00 for a 2-day pass
-Each match will be the best 2 out of 3 games / rally scoring to 25 points in games one and two, if necessary the third game to 15 points
-IRCS will provide water/cups at each of the benches. No food or drinks in gym. Only water is allowed in the gymnasium.
-Pool finish is determined by each team's match win-loss record. If there is a 3-way tied, the tie will be broken by the games win-loss record for each team. If all three teams are still tied, the next tie-breaker is point differential (points scored divided by points allowed).
